| Don't Be Intimidated; This Guide Shows You The Way |

| While it’s not quite panic time yet, Christmas is less than two weeks away. For those of you who haven’t finished your shopping, let me offer a few wine and spirits suggestions. And don’t think you can’t give wine if the recipient is more wine savvy than you. I’ve identified wines that are delicious and organized them by a theme. I’ve also indicated the retail price to help guide your selections. The result: a gift that is easy to pick and will be much appreciated. |

| Maybe beer comes to mind when you think of sports and cars, but many sportsmen are now also in the wine business. Aussie golfer Greg Norman has a broad line of wines that receive consistent high ratings. The Cabernet-Merlot blend was recently included in Wine Spectator’s Year-End Top 100. The wines start at just $14.99. Mario Andretti Cabernet ($13.99) and various Firestone wines ($17.99) from the legendary tire family, are perfect for the racing fans on your list. And Jim Barry’s The Cover Drive Cabernet ($17.99) is an outstanding value with interesting cricket artwork on the label. Wines for Animal Lovers: But you don’t have to settle for jug wines. The following wines are high quality while featuring interesting animal labels:
Wines for Deadheads: It’s less than 90 minutes from Haight-Ashbury to Napa. Surprise your Deadhead friend with the J. Garcia collection of wines ($13.99+) which includes Chardonnay, Zinfandel and Cabernet. Wines in Pretty Bottles: Know someone who appreciates art? These bottles are as nice to look at as they are to drink.
Wines for Catholics: No we’re not talking communion wine here. One of France’s most famous wine regions is Chateauneuf du Pape, which translates as Home of Popes and was actually the home of Catholicism for more than a century. These wines are terrific blends of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. They’re great winter wines. Le Vieux Telegraphe ($49.99) or Barton & Geustier ($20.99) are good choices. On a lighter note, Cardinal Zin ($21.49) might be the perfect choice for new year’s eve. Wines for Movie Buffs: Not content to just spend money on wine, Francis Ford Coppola now produces wine. Consider the following from the Godfather of wine and other Hollywood bottlings:
Wines by Occupation or Personality: Give a wine that reflects the job or personality of your recipient
Wines by Personality:
